Mineral water is water containing minerals or other dissolved substances that alter its taste or give it therapeutic value. Salts, sulfur compounds, and gases are among the substances that can be dissolved in the water. Today, microelement contents(such as lithium, strontium, zinc,selenium,etc.) in the drinking mineral water should meet the requirements of national mineral water standards, ultrafiltration technology is the key process for producing mineral water.
UF(Ultra Filtration)is a technique for separating dissolved molecules in solution on the basis of size which means that molecules larger than the membrane pore size rating will be retained at the surface of the membrane. Generally, suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, endotoxins and other pathogens are retained, the retained molecules called as concentrated solution will be drained out or recycled, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane.
The UF technology is used as pretreament to reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF), it also used in industry to separate large molecules from solution. Industrial applications include power generation, food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical production, biotechnology, and semiconductor manufacturing.
We use hollow fiber membranes typically having pore sizes less than 0.01µm and having a high removal cabability, using less energy and a lower operating pressure, therefore reducing operating costs.
